J9 Advisory Launch £100,000 Charity Challenge to Raise Funds for Local Charities.
Updated: Nov 1
To celebrate their 10 Year Anniversary next year, J9 Advisory has announced the launch of a £100,000 challenge, to raise funds for specialist equipment for local charities: the Children's Heart Surgery Fund, Candlelighters, and Leeds Baby Bank.
The funds raised are earmarked to be allocated towards the acquisition of a new MRI Patient Monitoring System for the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit. This will enable medical professionals to not only monitor oxygen saturations, but also the heartbeat and blood pressure of babies from leaving the hospital ward, throughout transport, and during the entire MRI scan. This new equipment will also give them the facility to scan critically ill babies who may require oxygen or respiratory support.
Additionally, the funds raised will be used to acquire cardiac, pulse and oxygen monitors for the Children's Oncology and Haematology Wards at Leeds Children's Hospital. This new equipment will provide high dependency patients with extra monitoring, giving nursing staff the ability to remotely monitor patients when they are not in the same room, reducing the demand on resources and helping maintain patient safety.
Any surplus funds raised will be donated to Leeds Baby Bank, a charity that supports families in Leeds with children aged 0-5 years, who are experiencing poverty. They provide families in desperate situations with all the essentials and equipment they need for their babies and young children.
So far, the following businesses have agreed to join J9 Advisory in committing to raise funds over the next 12 months: SPG, The Business Desk, The Whitehall Restaurant & Bar, Wilson & Co Chartered Accountants, FB Fashion Ball, Network King, Allam Marine, and Harley Doc Private Medical Clinic.
Louis XIII, Davidoff, John Pye, and First Direct Arena have also agreed to support the challenge as prize sponsors.
Johnny Abraham, Managing Director of J9 Advisory commented, “As we approach our 10 year anniversary, and having completed Cancer treatment myself, I felt it was fitting to collaborate with these deserving charities, and raise funds for this specialist hospital equipment.
We’re grateful to The Business Desk, who have joined forces with us on this campaign and is also our media partner to generate awareness for these great causes.
